G'day from down under
| I'm on a practice placement through university at the Peninsula, in Melbourne. I work full time and get two days off a week. | |

Trying to get out with the camera as much as I can in the spare time I have, as well as going down to the beach too to get some rays. This first shot of Eureka Tower at sunset was taken from Sydney Myer concert bowl in the Melbourne Royal Botanical Gardens, in the city centre on the banks of the river Yarra. Taken whilst there was a concert going on - hence all the people in the foreground. Have been to a classical concert at the Sydney Myer concert bowl in Melbourne city centre (see photo of Eureka tower) which was a good experience, was dressed in shorts and t-shirts all day and evening as well, and it was still comfortably warm at 10.00pm. |

Finding it a challenge to work and get around in the heat, but enjoying the sun - was a big shock to the system when we first arrived! The Second shot was taken just up the road from the first. It's the central business district and looks even better at night. I took this just before we went into the concert event. |

The place we are staying is really good, people are very friendly and helpful. There's a really good atmosphere and laid back approach that the Aussie's have - it's great. This third shot is the same area but at night. Taken a few days later. It was exceptionally windy on that night, got good use of the tripod and remote release cable, still had to crank the ISO up slightly though. |
